HRIA Women in Hire Program

The Women in Hire Mentoring Program is the first of its kind in our industry. Launched at HIRE18, the program is designed to give women opportunities to develop their leadership skills, build confidence and pursue a successful career within our industry.

The Program runs over a 12-month period. Successful applicants are matched to a mentor who is a leader in our industry. This mentor will be there to share their industry-specific knowledge, experience and skills, provide guidance and support, and help you achieve your goals.

The Women in Hire Mentoring Program provides an opportunity to develop new skills and expertise. By gaining access to independent and objective perspectives of industry leaders, you’ll build your confidence in dealing with colleagues, managers and others in the industry, improve your networking and communication skills, learn how to set goals, develop your resilience and speak the language of the business.

There are a number of programs running at HIRE19 for Women in Hire starting with the Women in Hire & Young Professionals Networking Event on Tuesday, 21 May. This event, 'Networking for Success' is the final module of the 2018 Women in Hire Mentoring Program.

The Women in Hire breakfast with a panel discussion will be held on Wednesday, 22 May. The breakfast discussion will include industry experts as well as feedback from a 2018 program Mentor and Mentee.

We are excited to announce an exclusive event for the HRIA Women in Hire and Young Professionals Network. Afterburner will deliver a keynote presentation outlining the FLEX (Flawless Execution) methodology that the RAAF uses to enable their fighter pilots to achieve 98% mission success rates. How to apply this methodology to businesses will be demonstrated at the workshop.

Come to the Women in Hire workshop on Thursday, 23 May where Maree Burgess will discuss the strategies we have to stay in our comfort zone and the importance of moving out of it from time to time. She’ll provide us with a way to thrive out of our comfort zone and enjoy change.

Please contact the HRIA National Office on 02 9998 2255 if you would like to attend any of these events. For more information, please click HERE for the HIRE19 Program.
